We are very excited to officially announce that earlier this year FIRMUS Group acquired Carey Industrial to enhance the service and support for their Queensland clients and to expand their market presence in the sunshine state.

Owned by Andrew Jackson and Heath Keenan, who hail from Victoria, FIRMUS Group is the authorised distributor of Whale vacuum tanker products in Australia and New Zealand.

Manufactured in the UK, the Whale tanker design has been optimised specifically for the Australian waste, municipal, water, resource, and construction industries under the expert direction of Andrew Jackson.

Andrew has a winning reputation for innovative engineering design with real world application, that is underpinned by his mechanical engineering and business tertiary qualifications.

Andrew’s professionalism and meticulous nature has afforded him a stellar career in the industrial equipment and vehicle commercial space. He was eager to improve on the industry standard, by providing a superior platform for sales and service for the most reliable vacuum and jetting trucks on the market.

Heath has worked in the environmental services industry for over 20 years and is highly regarded for his business acumen and operation management skills.

In his role as Sales Director at FIRMUS Group, Heath is drawing on his experience to curate a national sales and service profile to meet market demand, including Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Sydney branch locations.

Former owner, Ray Carey, stated that the sale to FIRMUS Group is a great fit with Carey Industrial’s business operation in the material handling sector, which also services the aforementioned industries. The diversification of plant, machinery and vehicles will provide comprehensive customer service and support to clients on a national level.

Carey Industrial continues to be an authorised South East Queensland service and repair dealer for Hiab, Multilift and Moffett. Business will continue to run as usual, with the addition of servicing vacuum loading and water jetting trucks.

The introduction of Whale vacuum tankers to the Carey Industrial service centre commenced with a product presentation by Andrew and Heath and ended with a delicious BBQ.

Andrew, Heath and Ray look forward to expanding their service and product offering to the Queensland market and interstate locations.
